Chives

Scientific name: Allium schoenoprasum

Chives can be recognized thanks to their long, glossy leaves with a scent of onion and garlic.
Its taste is lighter and more delicate compared to onions and garlic, which makes it perfect for the kitchen: it can easily adapt to any dish.
Chives need a good amount of sun exposure: it’s better to plant them in partial shade, to avoid the hottest hours of the day.
